

Of course there are differences run to run in terms of character traits and also abilities from the equipment, so there is decent replay value. Unfortunately, the vast majority of my damage taken is the result of the crazy physics catapulting an enemy onto me, and just getting stuck. Mostly, it involves finding the rings you want to use and holding both mouse buttons while pointing at the opponent while kiting away. A bit more concerning is the actual combat. It’s pretty easy to do, just involving updating tooltips. Hopefully, this will all be fixed early on. As stated above, I still have no idea how to determine when an ultimate will cast, or what those little pips mean. You have a tiny debuff icon on the bottom of your screen, but it seems to cycle through 6-7 times before it goes away, and mousing over it shows nothing. There is a poison debuff in the game, but outside of the green pools, good luck finding out what applied it. I would find a helmet that gives “Affinity to Nature”. I might pick up a ring that applies Chill to targets on crit. The big stand out problem is that this is another roguelike that has plenty of stats to juggle, but doesn’t bother explaining any of them.

They are floppy, get stuck often, and are made from parts, which some are just solid flesh, some do movement and some damage, melee or ranged. But the most unique thing is the monsters and physic interactions of them, objects, and player.

Various classes, spells, and abilities to unlock. Twisted Lovecraftian-inspired environment powered by procedural generation and AI machine learning. Persistent progression (some roguelite fans like it, some don’t so this is subjective). Fun, challenging, yet not brutally difficult. Monsters you fight feel different every new run. Play a sorcerer and fight nightmarish monstrosities. Recommend it if you enjoy side-scrolling action roguelite games but want something a bit different.
